3 1/2 cup water
1/3 cup Thai tea mixture
1 scoop bubble tea sugar syrup
2 T sweetened condensed milk
2 fl. oz. tapioca Pearls
To make the tea:
Heat the water to boiling, then using four layers of cheesecloth as a filter, pour the water through the tea four times or until the tea reaches the right color.
To make the tapioca pearls:
Boil water in a large pot, adding in the tapioca pearls. The tapioca pearls should float in the water while boiling for about 25 minutes with the cover on. Turn the heat off and let the tapioca sit in the water for 25 minutes. Rinse the cooked tapioca pearls in warm water and drain.
To combine everything:
Mix together the Thai tea, bubble tea sugar syrup and sweetened condensed milk and shake until little bubbles form on the top of the drink. Add bubble tea tapioca pearls to a 16 oz. cup, and pour your drink over.
There are many variations to making a bubble tea (or boba tea as it is sometimes called). It can be iced or frozen. I prefer mine iced, and I absolutely love the original Thai flavorings, although you can get anything from strawberry to lychee fruit. Seeing this recipe, I have to admit it is much easier to buy your drink in China Town or at a mall kiosk. Tastes just as good!
Yves Saint Laurent
Yum, my fav drink to get with a big bowl of pho.
1Oh, people in Hawaii LOVE these bubble drinks.
2There's a Thai restaurant near my office... they don't make bubble tea, but the regular tea is SO GOOD. I wonder if it's the same thing, minus the bubbles. It's served cold and mixed with milk or cream. Kind of a pinky-orangey color.
Now I'm going to have to get one at lunch today!
3YUMMYYYYYYYYY!!!!
4Whip, sounds like the same thing. I LOVE the taste so much. I hate it when they cram so much ice in my glass because it means I dont get enough tea!
5tea with condensed milk, creamy and cold yuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Really? Fruit is very cheap here. Any kind.
21Yeah, fruit is expensive here. Pomegrantes are like $2 each, a 3 pound bag of apples cost me $5 today (what's up with apples? Bad crop this year or something?) That was EXPENSIVE - they're normally about $3/bag. Canteloupes are $2, honeydew melons are $2.50. Grapes are about $1.99/pound+. Bananas are cheap at 50 cents/pound. Pears were $1.50/lb. Strawberries are $2.99/pint. Blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries are $3.99 for like half a pint. Can you tell I went produce shopping today??? lol

It is very peasceful, I've been there all my life and Ive never seen anything bad. people are moving in with the quickness because it is becoming chic and is full of srtist and musicians.. spacially Inwood above 200 Street.
Dont be afraid, nothing will happen... Its just fear of the unknown
